Hello everyone! Apologies for not updating in a while, I had some stuff going on, but I'm going to try to get back into the adventuring spirit! I played a little bit over the past month or so, so here's basically what I did.

I messed around in confusion gate. I had looked around in it a few times before. Found nothing new, really.

MAYBE IF I HIT ENOUGH WALLS I'LL FIND SOMETHING SOONER OR LATER SOB

Days 53-56

Today I started to map out that one place that's totally pitch black. I bought a bunch of flares after saving up so I could see. I managed to find a map of the area after fighting some huge round monster made of many faces. I carefully mapped out all the details of the dark rooms so I could navigate without wasting too many flares. ...I wish they would keep the flames lit longer sometimes.

I was getting a bit hurt and decided to come back the next day to map out more of the area (Apparently called "Chamber of Extinction", I think some battle took place here. There's body-like figures in the background a lot. It's kind of creepy.) Boy was I ever thrilled to find out half of the area WASN'T shrouded in darkness! It was a lot of work, but I even found a life orb after stumbling around in the dark!

I explored more around the Chamber of Extinction, figuring out that I could break certain wall blocks, uncovering items and...other things. (He had Metal Gear 2 on him!) I then went around and explored other areas, especially that other lava place (Tower of Ruin..?). I can never remember the name. While I was there, I happened upon the Ankh Jewel for that very area! Luckily I was able to solve the puzzle thanks to my extensive notes on what tablets said in other areas.

I went back to the Tower of Ruin the next day to write down what all the tablets said, and I uh...

I found this secret room. A room with a computer.

Just a computer.

I... I dont... ...this....

W-well back to exploring..!!!

Not the most interesting of times, mostly just bumbling around in almost every area I've already been in. Hopefully I'm making progress, I feel like these couple days have helped restore some of my ~~sanity~~ initiative! Puzzles, you are no match for me! Let's just hope I don;t screw up something irreversible.

Also, for those who are interested, HERE is a map I drew of The Temple of the Sun. It's considerably nicer looking than the one I did for Guidance Gate. It's mostly up-to-date though I've solved another one or two puzzles in it.

Panel 1- Today I ~~fell over and over again until I wanted to kill myself~~ practiced jumping off walls with my Grapple Claw to reach new places! I think I got pretty good at it, and I managed to get the Serpent Staff!
Panel 2- This blue giant guy up on the surface is said to be weak to the Serpent Staff, so I used it to finally kill him!
Panel 3- And whet to I win for killing him? A FEATHER!! F-YES I CAN DOUBLE JUMP LIKE CRAZY HIGH HNNGG
Panel 4- Then I thought, there's only ONE THING to do now, with all these new items... ...

Days 44-45

So I decided to bum around The Temple of Moonlight for a bit because I knew there was a treasure I could get, and I found something AWESOME. HECKS YEAH ICE CAPE.
I went swimming around in that lava like it ain't no thang. I was able to solve a puzzle and got myself a Grapple Claw too!

NOW IM LIKE SPIDERMAN YES. I found this weird lava-filled techno/metallic-looking demon-filled place connected to the icey-place and I explored a bit there. I found a life jewel there though, yay more health! There was also creepy black dog monsters there and a HUGE GRYPHON or something that was shooting lightning ahhhh.

Then I decided to check around the Temple of the Sun again, because I forgot I didn't save after I bought the heat-proof case last time, so I needed to buy it again. On my way there, in only one of the rooms, IT WAS SUDDENLY FILLED WITH GLOWY WORMS. 8( Worms or wriggly confetti or sperm or something (A tablet DOES describe this place as the "male" temple). ew ew ew it was kinda creepy. I'm glad they couldn't hurt me though.

Xelpig told me how to use the Grapple Claw a bit, but it's still very tricky to get the hang of, hopefully I wont screw up a hundred times just trying to get somewhere with it, pff.

days 41-43. FIRE.

I was convinced to get back to work today. I managed to find the warp tablet thingy in the fire place! I forget what it's called already. I can now instantly warp to that spot with the grail! So I saved at Xelpug's and set up for another new day of exploring.

I searched around a bit but didn't really find anything great. Some blocks I cant push yet (to reach a weight dealie) because I can't stand in the ankle-deep lava long enough to push it to the right spot, and a hidden shop with just some standard items and a ROM. I will look more tomorrow.

The La-Mulana remake website has updated! There's tons of new info and cool stuff, and this place was mentioned in the blog! What a surprise!! (Check out the other honorable mentions as well!) Lemeza has been swooning all day but we will get back to adventure very shortly!

Took a break from exploring a bit to rest up. Would have been easier but Xelpud wouldn't let me sleep inside anymore. Something about getting everything sticky.

Finally got back to exploring. Decided to check out this weird flower place connected to the Giant place. There were flowers that spit things at me. Apparently it's called the Endless Corridor cuz I got the map for it- HOLY CRAP A ROOM WITH A FAIRY.

The fairy said it would help me. It liked my "Diviner Sensation" rom. It was the first thing I offered to it, I knew it was the prettiest rom I had.

I also found a flare gun poking around in the fire place. I don't really want to go back there anytime soon ); But that annoying block puzzle was just calling me to finish it. ...Yeah.

I swear I'll get on a set path sooner or later.

The area "behind" the giant place opened up! So I decided to check it out. :|; It was uh...pretty not fun. I HATE THOSE BATS.

..the Flappy pigs were awesome though.

...yep.

I did some waterfall meditating, too.

Checking out Temple of Moonlight more thoroughly next, I suppose! Thought there would be more to explor in the fish place but can't get anywhere in there, oh well ): I'LL KEEP LOOKING.

3 pictures in one day is a little overboard but hey a lot happened v(o_o)v

Edit:
According to the La-Mulana Wiki, They nickname the Flappy Pig's as "Flying Butt Monsters" because they "look EXACTLY like flying butts".

Day 32 SCREENSHOT ADVENTURE

It's already been about a month since I started my journey into the ruins. But today is a VERY SPECIAL day on this adventure log!

Why? Because I figured out how to take screenshots thanks to a buddy o' mine, and today I will do a short screenshot adventure for you all to see! Now you can see what I'm seeing as I go through my daily CHALLENGES and PERILS. YEAHH.

See look! Here I am in the village! Xelpoo's hut is the one to the left of me! Look how charming your hero Lemeza is. I think that fine village lady over there has a thing for me. Anyway, on to things!

Here is my item screen! Pretty sweet stash. That orangey cup up there is mah grail. I loves mah grail.

Let's wander over to the right to maybe break one of those red pots and- Oh. Oh god it's that freaking Turkey-Pidgeon

Th-that didn't happen- OH LOOK. I warped into Guidance Gate, the first area of the ruins! Pretty swell, huh. Look at me jumping like a bad-a.

Kitties!!! I am taming the beast with my whip.

Not much else to see there, so I warped over to The Temple of the Sun!! Look at me jump over that cat ball holy crap I am the coolest jumper. Seriously I'm grabbing my hat and everything look at that.

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG. Awww theyre so cute my little buddies owo

YEAHH BENNU BIRD look how beautiful and majestic it is.

But it is about to be swiftly defeated by my intense shuriken throwing ninja-skillz

Anyway onto this Giant place!! I'm not to be bothered spelling it's name. EVEN THE LEECHES ARE GIANT.

When you pause, you get to have a snack of ramen or curry or whatever the heck's in that bowl. LOOK GHOSTS AND DRIPPY FROG

Here is a giant ooohhh aaahhh. He don't do much. And a ~~floaty...flying fist...thing~~ BROKEN MAGNUM. Those like to kill me.

FISH PLACE. I'll be going here next, but this is all I'll show of it for now.

Day 29, 30, 31 BOSS

I JUST KICKED THIS GIANT PLACE'S BUTT.

I got a Life Jewel so now my Vitality is higher, I got THROWING KNIVES so now I'm even MORE of a sweet awesome ninja, the map of the area, matched up some Moon/Sun/Star thingies and got me the ANKH JEWEL ANKH JEWEL ANKH JEWEL and found the Ankh itself too! HECKS YEAH MAUSOLEUM OF GIANTS. YOU JUST GOT SERVED. YEAYUH.

Now onto the Boss!! He can't be so tough. >8D Lemme at 'im I'm on a ROLL.

I uh...I didn't do so well on the boss today D8

FREAKING GIANT. Have to fight one of the stone giants ;A; PFF. THE SHURIKEN DO NOTHING.
I also mostly died from the energy balls he shot from his...hedge..clipper... ..getting crushed by falling rocks, or some other means. Just kinda..lost count how many times I died OTL. NOTHING WAS WORKING.

Turns out I just had to continuously stab him in the face.

...OK ONTO THE NEXT AREA I GUESS 8Db AHAHA...HA....haa

Day 28

A lot happened this day!

panel 1: Wanted to walk around the lava place to see how long I lasted. LAVA

panel 2: Found some weird foggy room when I decided to jump down some hole in the Sun Temple. There was a timer counting down from 30 seconds. It was unsettling. I didn't stick around long enough to find out what it did. Though I can pretty much assume DEATH AT 0:00

panel 3: Finished my map of The Temple of the Sun. I'll scan that later. I basically beat the area, but it could be useful. Also I know what the Bronze Mirror does! It lets you see special doors that let you go to NEW areas BEHIND the other areas!

panel 4: Went in the door in the Sun Temple, ended up in what is apparently The Temple of Moonlight! It was really crazy looking in there! I fell into a cool trap!!! Cool insta-death |D; ...I did that on purpose.

panel 5: Explored the Giants place more thoroughly. Basically just poking around and reading the tablets, and writing down anything they say, to try to put all the pieces together, since the tablets here tell all about the giants and how they died.

Already a day ahead, just have to draw a picture later. Did a lot too! phew!

Day 27 Boss Fight

OH MAN THIS BOSS WAS JUST AS AWESOME AS THE LAST ONE.

I finally figured out how to get the Ankh to show up! It showed up right on top of the mine cart that I pushed! So the cart dropped onto a track, and COMMENCE MINE CART RIDING, HIGH SPEED, AWESOME FRILLED LIZARD CHASE BOSS FIGHT.

I dies 3 or 4 times. But I got the hang of the jumping and moving and I was able to win!

I got a sweet prize too! A Bronze Mirror! What does it do? I knooow but you can find out next time. (if you don't know already that is) But at least now I've pretty much beaten the Temple of the Sun! On the the Mausoleum of Giants next! or whatever it's called.
